MYYON
Myyon has spent her life making, moving, and becoming. Across cities, uniforms, dance floors, and new versions of herself, the through line is freedom.
A Zest for Life
When you look at all the versions of yourself, what connects them?
I think it’s just, all in all, a zest for life. I’ve always wanted to do something more.
I was like, “I’m going to do the military because I want to travel. I want to learn from people. I want to see the world and learn about different cultures and fully immerse myself.”
Even when I was in the military, I was with people who were rapping and making music. That’s how I learned producing in the military.
I learned how to tattoo while I was in the military too. I’ve always stuck to the arts. Always.
Always in Motion
Movement has never only meant geography. For Myyon, it is curiosity, reinvention, and the refusal to stay fixed in a version of herself that no longer fits.
For someone meeting you for the first time, who are they witnessing?
An exuberant, soft, funny, but lovely person. Serious, but we can still have some fun.
I’m a very passionate person, very ambitious. I always have something that I want to do. I’ve always been into creativity, activity, adventure, things that spark my interest. I’m in there anytime.
Unlearning the Uniform
What did you have to unlearn?
In the military, it’s a one band, one sound type of mentality. So you kind of forget about yourself. You forget about taking care of the things you like to take care of. You forget about the creativity that you have.
I had to become this version of Ariana again, or of Myyon again. I had to unlearn that scarcity mentality, because when you’re in the military, it’s go, go, go, go, go.
But I’m very thankful for my community, my friends, and my close circle because they really got my back through a lot of things.
If you’re not learning, you’re not living.
Be Free
What does freedom feel like when you DJ?
I want people to live freely. Express themselves freely. Have fun without thinking, because everybody else is dancing and everybody is having a great time.
I like to have a fun environment where other people feel free to be themselves. Other people are over here shaking ass, you’re doing the worm on the floor, and the other person’s pop-locking. Everybody’s having a good time.
Be yourself. Be free.
What do you see when the room locks in?
Everybody is inside a venue, moving as one. Everybody’s swag surfing at the same time, having a great time. There’s nothing that can beat that, to be honest.
It’s this unity and liberation happening right in front of you.

After the Room
What do people not see?
People see me outside all the time, but I’m very much a “I need my quiet time” type of girl.
I like sitting at the beach and just chilling, manifesting, meditating, doing yoga, going to the gym, riding bikes, paddleboarding.
People don’t see the quiet inner workings of Myyon. They just see the, “Hey, what’s up? I’m Myyon!”
HER
SISTER
“I think people see this cool, artsy, ‘nonchalant’ DJ, but behind all that is someone who’s so extremely funny, incredibly sharp, and actually has the biggest soft spot for the people she loves.”
“I don’t think she realizes how much people admire her for being unapologetically herself. She has this really unique way of seeing the world, and she doesn’t try to fit into anyone else’s idea of who she should be. Her style, her creativity, her humor, and her music taste, it’s all just so Myyon.”
“What hasn’t changed is her heart. She’s always been loyal, protective of the people she loves, and probably more sensitive than she’d ever admit. She might have a tough exterior, but the people closest to her will always know how deeply she cares.”
