To My Inner Child; To My Inner Child;

A return to movement

A letter from Tylor to the child he used to be—the one who was nimble, diligent, and unafraid before the world taught him to become smaller. Made at Saigon Trailhead, on the way back to himself.

- TYLOR BRADSHAW

Tylor Bradshaw spent years as a professional ballet dancer in San Diego. In his mid-twenties; he left the stage but not the discipline. He carried that into whatever came next.

What he carried with him was the body's knowledge. Its memory. Its refusal to stay quiet, even when everything else does.

“San Diego is where my roots run deepest in my adult life, so I'm fortunate to document this monumental moment here.”

“To my inner child: always be nimble, diligent, and courageous in everything you do regardless of fear, uncertainty, or uncomfort.”

WHAT HE WANTED HIS YOUNGER SELF TO KNOW

Seven words stayed with us.

01

Nimble

Trusting the body before hesitation.

02

Alien

Moving through unfamiliar ground.

03

Diligent

The private repetition behind the visible gesture.

04

Patient

Letting a shape arrive without forcing it.

05

Tender

Holding softness without apology.

06

Relentless

Continuing through the narrow passage.

07

Rooted

Returning to the body as home.

Mama, we made it.
